Vilius Returns (Japanese (Katakana): 新たなる戦い) is the twenty-seventh episode of Tenkai Knights. It first aired on March 09, 2014 on Teletoon in Canada.

Summary
Due to the Guardians' incompetence, they've resurrected Vilius only to have been put under his control.
Plot
The Guardians were shown agreeing on a decision to revive Vilius. However, Vilius's energy was possessing Zephyrus, forcing the Guardian to first agree to the idea, then, to release excessive energy in the revival process. Once Vilius was revived, he overpowered the Guardians and contained them in his new fortress.
Meanwhile, Mr. White tells the news to the boys back on Earth (who responded with shock and dismay). Eventually, Guren, Ceylan, Toxsa, and Chooki departed for Quarton, only to come face-to-face with the revived Corrupted army and Vilius. After Granox and Slyger activated Titan Mode, the four Tenkai Knights tried to do the same, but Vilius demonstrated his ability to suppress the Knights' Tenkai Titan mode. The Knights then used Protojet mode, but Vilius took them down with his Xenoship. Afterwards, Vilius drained the Dragon Cubes out of the Tenkai Knights to revive the Black Dragon. However, the Dragon was unstable, in which the Black and White Dragon are conflicting together. Suddenly, Dromus appeared from out of the sky and severed Vilius connection to the Dragon, causing the creature to separate into two components: the White Dragon Cubes and the Black Dragon Cubes. (The Knights and Dromus absorbed the White cubes while Villius absorbed the remaining Black Cubes.) Bravenwolf wanted to take the opportunity to defeat Vilius, but Beag stepped in to convince the Knights to fight another day.
While the boys moaned and complained of their retreat at Mr. White's shop, Vilius had a meeting with Sylger and Granox at the Guardians' HQ. Apparently, Vilius apprehended all four Guardians, which Slyger and Granox praise him for, commentating on Vilius's new look from absorbing the Black Dragon Cubes. Slyger and Granox then argue about which one of them could beat the Guardians, so Vilius gave Granox the task of defeating the Tenkai Knights, while Slyger was tasked with a "special" assignment.
Back on Earth, Guren, Ceylan, Toxsa, and Chooki were making remarks about their retreat from the battle, but all of them eventually agree that it's best to lay low and come back to Quarton eventually. At home, Guren asked his father what he will do if change happens. Mr. Nash responded that it's best to adapt to the situation at hand. The next day, Guren had a hard time explain the message to his friends, but he got the point through that all four of them need to adapt to Villius's new tactics. Gen came around to warn them not to underestimate Vilius (since the Knights do not have access to Tenkai Titan mode at the moment), Guren acknowledges this and thanks Gen for caring about the team.
Upon returning to Quarton, Bravenwolf, Tributon, Valorn, and Lydendor intercepted a Corrupted invasion led by Granox (who was already in Titan mode). The four Tenkai Knights tried to take down Granox together in their basic mode, but their first attempts failed. However, Guren came up with a strategy. First, Tributon severed Granox's mace chain with an arrow. Next, Lydenor used his chain weapon to bind Granox's arm. Last of all, Valorn used his weapon to make Granox's leg become stuck. When all became successful, a surge of energy from the sky blasts the Tenkai Knights, giving them access to new elemental powers. Bravenwolf, Tributon, Valorn, and Lydendor gained access to their respective new modes: Tenkai Firestorm, Tenkai Iceblast, Tenkai Terrablast, and Tenkai Lightning Strike. With these new powers, the Tenkai Knights reduced Granox back to his basic mode, causing him and the Corrupted army to retreat. Back on Earth, Guren, Ceylan, Toxsa, and Chooki were wondering where the energy surge came from, and Mr. White told them a "power within" quote. While the four boys applauded themselves for their efforts in Mr. White's shop, Slyger observes from a corner in his new Earth disguise outside the shop.
